    I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in Kyoto and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience. the staff were absolutely lovely, going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. Secondly, the rooms were beautifully decorated in Japanese style, complete with super comfy futons that provided a restful night's sleep. And lastly, the breakfast, though not included, was a delightful culinary adventure. Every bite was traditional, incredibly delicious, and beautifully presented.

    All in all, our stay at this hotel was fantastic and I cannot think of a single thing that could be improved. Everything was simply perfect.

    I had a fantastic weekend in Kyoto staying at this hotel. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the train station and close to the popular Gion area. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, making me feel welcomed throughout my stay. The rooms, with their traditional Japanese style and super comfy futon, were a unique and enjoyable experience. I also loved the attention to detail, from the private bathroom to the delicious and value for money breakfast.

    All was great, nothing to complain about.

The attention to detail was impressive, from the traditional Japanese breakfast delivered to my room to the small touches like a hot water kettle and green tea provided. The location was great, with restaurants, stores, and public transportation nearby. it was a fantastic value for money.

    There was a minor issue with the wifi in my room.

    Enjoyed tasty Japanese breakfast & friendly help from staff who suggested good sightseeing spots. Great location close to restaurants, shops, metro, and bus. the hot water kettle and green tea were a welcome touch.

    The building and rooms felt very worn-out;

    We had a wonderful stay in a traditional Japanese hotel. the location was perfect just a block from the subway station, a few minutes' walk from the Gion area, hidden away in a small street. the spacious room was clean and tidy, with homemade sweets and a hot water kettle set up for us. Breakfast was the icing on the cake: it was different than what we were used to, beautifully presented and delicious.

    The walls and tatami might look worn out as it's an old hotel, but the facilities are well-maintained and clean.

    The location of the ryokan was excellent, as it was within walking distance to many restaurants and attractions. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, and they made us feel at home. The ryokan was impeccably clean, and the room had a lovely fragrance of traditional Japanese tatami. We especially loved the daijo-gashi that were provided every morning with a cup of tea.

    One minor issue that we had was the lack of hot water in the sink and toilet. This was not a major issue for us, but it could be uncomfortable for some guests.

    The location of the hotel is ideal, located just a block from the subway station in a great area of the city, on a small street and just a few minutes' walk from the GION area. The hotel facilities are great, including clean public baths. The staff was helpful, polite, and spoke good English. The traditional breakfast was delicious.

    Almost perfect.
